(Elizabeth Gilbert explains what that means in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/lang\/eng\/elizabeth_gilbert_on_genius.html\">this inspiring talk<\/a>) She is intertwined with my personality rather than an alter ego. As I want to be a writer I couldn\u2019t live without her but sometimes I just want to eliminate her from my life, because her merciless criticism permeates all my thoughts about myself. I send her to her room, but she\u2019s one insidious bugger and always manages to sneak up on me again. She has been bothering me lately.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><em>-Lagging again, you failure?<\/em>\u00a0She says, as I save the draft without sending the letter.<br \/>\n<em>-I\u2019m not a failure,<\/em>\u00a0I exclaim but she is utterly intact by my annoyance.<br \/>\n<em>-Pardon dear, I should have said successually disempowered.<br \/>\n-What have I done to deserve that kind of viciousness?<br \/>\n-Why are you not doing your part of the job?<br \/>\n-How come the selling part is mine?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>She snickered.<\/p>\n<p><em>-Because you are the one who needs to be provided for. I\u2019m just a spirit, remember, so when that bloating carcass of yours finally gives up, then I will just move into somebody else\u2019s head.<br \/>\n-Bloating carcass! I haven&#8217;t even gained weight.<\/em>\u00a0I was really agitated this time and sent her a wry look of reproof.<br \/>\n<em>-Well, it&#8217;s been bloating for a long time and that\u2019s the parlance,<\/em>\u00a0she replied, knowing better.\u00a0<em>And you should stop furrowing your brow like that, you can\u2019t afford botox.<br \/>\n-No that\u2019s is not the parlance, it is actually called a curvy body.<br \/>\n-Common Eva, just how pathetic can you be?<\/em>\u00a0She sighed.\u00a0<em>A curvy body is well shaped and beautiful. Now if the unconcealed truth is just too much for you, I assume we can talk rosy. We\u2019ll call you beautywise disadvantaged. Happy?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I sniffed at her<br \/>\n<em>-I think we should change roles for a few days, I\u2019ll be the genius and you can do all the hard work.<br \/>\n-Yeah,<\/em>\u00a0she said.<em>\u00a0I\u2019m probably just the right person to ingratiate myself with publishers. I can tell them my views on the stupidity of copyrights and the environmental damage of book printing and I guess that after my impassioned speech they would endorse to a good contract.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>She is right.
